2003 Boston Bruins

The Bruins play their home games in downtown Boston, Massachusetts in the beautiful Fleet Center, a beautiful state-of-the-art palace that seats 19,500 fans for a variety of events including basketball, the circus, wrestling, ice skating, and of course professional hockey.

Boston is a talented team who look to build on their most recent successes on the ice including consecutive playoff appearances in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons. Joe Thornton is a player on the rise in the NHL and a threat to score every time he gets a hold of the puck. Goalies Andrew Raycroft and Felix Potvin can defensively keep the Bruins in any game.

Founded before the 1924-25 season, the Bruins became just the second American team to win the Stanley Cup in 1928-29 season on their way to establishing a legacy as one of the premier Hockey Teams in the History of the NHL. The Bruins have had some of the NHL's best players lace up the skates including Hall of Famers Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, and Ray Bourque. In their long history the Bruins have hoisted the Stanley Cup 5 times. They are now looking to bring the Cup back for the first time in over 30 years.

The Bruins play in the sports hotbed of Massachusetts's capital. The proximity of New York, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Montreal, and Philadelphia along with their long history provides the Bruins with plenty of rivalries. Boston is known for its dedicated and knowledgeable fans and the FleetCenter roars when any of these teams arrive to play their Bruins.

Boston is one of the country's foremost sports cities. The Boston Red Sox (Fenway Stadium) are always one of the teams to beat when Baseball season starts in March. The NFL's New England Patriots (Gillette Stadium) play in nearby Foxboro. Boston is also home to the Boston Celtics, one of the most storied teams in NBA history, who share the FleetCenter with the Bruins.
