The long-awaited return to the ice in 2005-06 was not a happy one for the Washington Capitals. The Capitals wrapped up the regular NHL season with a record of 29 wins to 41 regulation-time losses and 12 overtime losses, for a total of 70 points. That ranked them at the bottom of the Southeast Division, and out of the running for the 2005-06 National Hockey League Playoffs. However, the Capitals did not have the lowest point title in the Eastern Conference, a distinction that went to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Washington Capitals play at the Verizon Center, which is also home to the NBA's Washington Wizards, the WNBA's Washington Mystics, and the NCAA's Georgetown Hoyas. Verizon Center is a venue for major concert tours, ranging from Tim McGraw to Pearl Jam, from Luciano Pavorotti to Shakira. Coast to Coast has excellent tickets to any of these events, and much, much more!
