2006 Big 12 Football Championship

A Big 12 Championship is sure to include not only a fierce conference competition but also a match-up of nationally ranked teams. The 2006 edition is no exception: the Oklahoma Sooners, ranked #14 in the coaches’ poll, will take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, whom the coaches’ poll list at #19.

The event, known by its official title as the 2006 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship, is now in its 11th year and will be taking place for the fourth time at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, home of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. Oklahoma has won more Big 12 Championship titles than anyone else in the conference, and two of their three conference triumphs happened at Arrowhead. The Huskers have two previous championship victories, as do the Texas Longhorns, so this will be Nebraska’s chance to even things up with Oklahoma. The winner is guaranteed a slot in the Bowl Championship Series coming up in January.

You’re bound to see some explosive action on the gridiron when you join the 75,000 plus screaming fans of the Cornhuskers and the Sooners. Why not let Coast to Coast find the Big 12 Championship tickets you want so see it all live in person?
