2006 Birmingham Bowl

Congratulations to all the participants in the 2006 Papajohns.com Bowl, and especially to the Bulls of South Florida University, for their first bowl game win, a 24-7 victory over the East Carolina University Pirates.

Get your tickets to be there at the creation of a brand new tradition, the Papajohns.com Bowl, originally titled the Birmingham Bowl, to be inaugurated December 23rd. Birmingham, Alabama’s Legion Field will be the site of this postseason contest between the University of Southern Florida representing the Big East and East Carolina University from Conference USA.

Legion Field has been the site of previous college football bowls: the Hall of Fame Bowl from 1977 to 1985 and the All-America Bowl from 1986 to 1990. ESPN Regional TV owns the Birmingham game, which received NCAA approval early in 2006.

Now's the time to plan to be in Birmingham with your tickets to the first-ever Papajohns.com Bowl and to cheer on the ECU Pirates or the USF Bulls!
