Even as we say “Congratulations” to the Detroit Red Wings, winners of the 2008 Stanley Cup, we want to say a big “Thank you” to the Anaheim Ducks for the exciting season they had, finishing 2nd in the savagely competitive Pacific Division!
Anaheim built from their 2007 Stanley Cup championship with another solid year. The Ducks have a multifaceted attack – there were so many weapons for opposing teams to keep up with. The Ducks marched to 49 wins and a fourth place finish in the Western Conference behind the leadership of Chris Pronger and the standout season of Ryan Getzlaf. The Anaheim Ducks lit up the Honda Center this year, losing only 9 times at home. A pair of goalies that came through for the Ducks this year – veteran Jean-Sebastien Giguere and rookie Jonas Hiller. As defending NHL champions, the balanced Anaheim Ducks team is poised for several more years of greatness.
The Anaheim Ducks are back on the ice, and you’ll want tickets to Honda Center (formerly known as Arrowhead Pond) to cheer them on! The Anaheim Ducks had a fantastic year in 2006-07, beating out the Ottawa Senators to take home the Stanley Cup. Will the 2007-08 season bring a repeat? GM Brian Burke wasted no time reveling in the win, rather he has been busily bulking up the team with new faces Todd Bertuzzi, Mathieu Schneider, Jean-Sebastien Giguere and Travis Moen, among others. The only thing they need now is throngs of screaming fans cheering them on. Get your tickets now to see the Anaheim Ducks dominate at the Honda Center in the 2007-2008 season!
