Congratulations to trainer Nick Zito, owner WinStar Farms and Robert LaPenta, and especially to Da' Tara and his jockey, Alan Garcia, who flew past the finish line 5 ¼ lengths ahead of the field in the 2008 Belmont Stakes! The 2008 Belmont Stakes shocked the world when the 38-1 long shot Da’ Tara won and the 1-4 favorite (and 2008 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner) Big Brown finished the race dead last.
