The Phillies moved into a brand new stadium in 2004. Citizens Bank Park, their new baseball only stadium, is a jewel in South Philadelphia. The new stadium is a welcome change from the old multipurpose Veterans Stadium the team shared with the NFL’s Eagles from 1971 to 2003. Firmly at home in their new stadium, the Phillies won the National League East in 2007 and the World Series in 2008. With a talented core of players and the leadership of manager Charlie Manuel, the Phillies expect to compete for years to come.
