2012 Super Bowl

In the world of professional sports there is no bigger even than The Super Bowl. Often described as one of the biggest and most exciting events to attend live, The Super Bowl is one ‘must-see’ event for all sports fans. Every year, the event acts as the Championship game of the NFL and determines who the top team of the season is. Annually the even pits the winning team from the AFC conference against the winning team from the NFC conference to determine a champion. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has continued on every year since then.

The Super Bowl was first formed as part of the agreement when the AFL and the NFL merged and although some were hesitant about its format at first, it is now hailed and the biggest events in modern sports. The winning team of the Super Bowl is given a trophy known as the Vince Lombardi Trophy; a trophy named after the coach of the Green Bay Packers; the team who won the first two Super Bowl games. The coveted trophy isn’t the only thing the teams win either as they are rewarded with the bragging rights that come with being the best football team in the world.

Every year, an estimated number of nearly 140 million people will tune in to watch the Super Bowl, making it not only one of the biggest events in sports but one of the biggest televised events in modern day entertainment as well. However, for fans of the game, the biggest television screen can’t compare to the opportunity of being able to see The Super Bowl live.

Today, no matter what two teams are playing in The Super Bowl, tickets to this event are seen as some of the most coveted in the world and it is no small feat to score seats to see this game live. As for the 2013 Super Bowl; while fans will have to wait until the end of the regular season to see who will be featured; they can expect that at the end of January two of the top teams in the NFL will travel toe the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans to battle it out and that millions of fans will be tuning in to see the action unfold.
