2009 NHL Playoffs

Congratulations to all the participants in the National Hockey League Playoff series, and especially to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the 2009 winners of the Stanley Cup and Evgeni Malkin, Playoffs MVP! It took seven hard-fought games, but the Penguins finally defeated the Detroit Red Wings.

It came down to the same final two contenders as last season: the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins. To get there, Detroit had to get past the Chicago Blackhawks, while Pittsburgh needed to knock off the Carolina Hurricanes. The Penguins’ win marks the first time in 25 years that a team has won the Stanley Cup after losing the finals the year before. It was heart-pounding NHL action at its best and though it may have been exciting to watch on TV, there’s no substitute for seeing it live. The 2010 NHL Playoffs and 2010 Stanley Cup Finals will be just as thrilling and Coast to Coast will have the tickets to get your there.

In most activities, a trophy signifying the best record of the year would wrap things up. But in the National Hockey League, there is still a whole lot of hockey left to play, and it's time to get your tickets to see it live in person!

For the playoffs, teams are paired up for three rounds of best-of-seven eliminations within their conferences. At that point, the champion of the Eastern Conference and the champion of the Western Conference face each other in the ultimate best-of-seven series for the historical and coveted Stanley Cup. Will the officials hang tough, enforcing the rules against grabbing and obstruction that they've been upholding all year? Will your team hang tough and make it all the way to the finals? Get your tickets now to be there and cheer them on!
