Carrot Top

2014 Carrot Top

Carrot Top has everything going for him. He has the looks, the style, the personality, and the material to make him one of the most sought after comedians of the new millennium. But most of all, he has the hair. His curly orange locks earned his nickname that became his stage name when he began performing. Like many up and coming comedians, Carrot Top started out as the jokester in school. He grew up in Cocoa Beach, Florida and later graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in marketing. He found his comedy niche in college at an open mic night. And the rest is history.

Carrot Top broke out on the comedy scene fairly quickly. His stage bits include prop comedy that seems to appeal to a large audience. His show generally consists of a stage loaded with overflowing travel trunks. Carrot Top has a knack for using everyday objects to poke fun at current events and politics. His jokes come in rapid-fire succession, hardly giving his audiences a chance to breath in between laughs. The use of props, his brightly colored clothing, and flamboyant personality give his live shows a carnival-like atmosphere. Ticket sales reflect the success of Carrot Top's comedy. He plays to full houses across the country.

Carrot Top's unique brand of comedy extends further than the stage. He signed a deal with Trimark Pictures to produce three films. The first of which is titled Chairman of the Board and features Carrot top as an unusual young man who inherits the top job at an ailing corporation. He has also appeared in many television commercials, most notably as the spokesman for AT&T. He has appeared as a regular guest on The Tonight Show and has also been featured on Regis and Kathie Lee, the Arsenio Hall Show, and MTV. Rolling Stone and People magazines have also interviewed him.

Carrot Top's comedy has never gone unnoticed. He appeared at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal where he was one of the biggest crowd pleasers. In 1994 he also received the American Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-up. He was graced with an invitation to perform on Fox's short-lived series Comic Strip Live. Carrot Top has appeared on Comedy Central's Politically Incorrect, Fox's Sunday Comics, Comedy Club All-Stars, and the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Many other television appearances include MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour, Spring Break Special, Comedy on the Road, and A&E's Evening at the Improv. He has traveled across the United States performing to sold-out crowds in large venues and college campuses. Carrot Top was the only entertainer to ever win the Entertainer of the Year and Comedian of the Year awards from the National Association of Campus Activities in the same year.

Like many successful performers, Carrot Top takes time out of his busy schedule to support charities of all kinds. He has donated time and money to charities that affect the lives of thousands. His work with the AIDS Foundation, Jerry's Kids, and The Ronald McDonald House has been especially heart-warming. He relates with children using his comedy and has an uncanny ability to brighten the lives of sick children. He also supports The Red Cross and the SPCA.
