Born in Boston in 1972, Dane Cook grew up in the city of Arlington, Massachusetts. He went to high school there and worked in a video store as a young man. Much of his material comes from stories of his family and childhood antics. Dane Cook uses government and politics as subjects for his more socially conscious comedy. All of his stuff is laugh-out-loud funny, and his audiences feel they really get to know him through the show.

Dane Cook's first and second CDs, 'Harmful If Swallowed' and 'Retaliation' have hit high on the Billboard charts and have done amazingly well in internet sales as well. Rolling Stone Magazine termed him one of their Hot Comics; he has been recognizes as Comedy Central's Favorite Standup Comedian and Stuff Magazine's Coolest Comedian of the Year.
