More Lewis Black Information

As an actor, Black has appeared in such films as Hannah and Her Sisters, Jacob's Ladder, The Hard Way and The Night We Never Met. Not limiting himself to any one type of acting, his theater credits include Indians at McCarter Theatre, Self-Defense at the Long Wharf Theatre, Our Father which played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Johnny-on-the-Spot which ran at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. His television acting credits include Bernie on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, guest-starring roles on Homicide and Mad About You, and a starring role in the television pilot Harvey Berger, Salesman. As a playwright he has authored over 40 plays that have been produced in theaters all across the country.

Despite his busy schedule and all of his success, Lewis Black is still committed to helping others pursue the path he has taken. He spends summers acting and teaching at the legendary Williamstown Theatre Festival. The summer artistic theater retreat is home to Joanne Woodward, Gwyneth Paltrow and Olympia Dukakis.
