Crystal Method

2009 Crystal Method

In 1989 Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles following their interest in the underground dance music scene. It was here, in Los Angeles, where they crafted the accelerated breakbeats and funky bass lines that would come to be the signature sound of the Crystal Method.

The Crystal Method's debut album, Vegas, was touted as America's answer to the Chemical Brothers. The hit single, 'Trip Like I Do,' brought the duo international recognition. After four years of touring and promoting their album, they released Tweekend in 2002. The album infused with the rap-funk-metal that was dominating the airwaves at the time, and included Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello. The single 'High Roller' was the album's single.

In 2004, the Crystal Method released their third studio album, Legion of Boom. As with Tweekend, the album has its fair share of celebrity contributors. Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit and John Garcia of Kyuss add to the duo's techno-jams. The driving rhythms and distorted keyboards create a disc full of singles ready for the dance floor.
