Gwen Stefani ain't no hollaback girl. And you had better take that seriously because no man can keep this rock princess down. Her tour in support of 2006’s The Sweet Escape is sure to “blow ya mind”. Buy some tickets while you still can, to see this classy little lady live and up close.
Gwen is a confident, energetic, party girl who has the wildest and best fashion sense of any woman in music today. She is known for her crazy outfits and cute girlie vocals. If you don't want tickets to see this No Doubt leading lady shake her solo thing, you have to be from another planet.
Ska music was introduced to Gwen by her brother Eric Stefani. He got her interested in many of the bands playing around Fullerton, California where they grew up. Eventually Eric invited Gwen to be in his band and they became No Doubt. They held together through some hard times and ultimately released Tragic Kingdom. It was their third album, and with hit singles like 'Just a Girl,' 'Spiderwebs,' and 'Don't Speak,' it became wildly successful.
Tragic Kingdom got the band nominated for two Grammys and got to number one on the Billboard charts. Gwen got a lot of press attention for being one of People's 50 most beautiful people and for her relationship with Bush's frontman, Gavin Rossdale. And after No Doubt's album Rock Steady in 2001, Gwen decided to work on a solo album. She changed her music a little bit and worked long and hard to deliver a fine product in her first solo effort.
In late 2004 she released Love.Angel.Music.Baby, a more dance-and-pop-sounding album, which featured 'Rich Girl' and the anthem 'HollaBack Girl.' Stefani started traveling to concerts with the Harajuku Girls, a group of four women who dance with Gwen on stage. It is an exciting show with lively dancing and Gwen's playful sexy outfits.
