Among the bands that have had many lives and many lineups, Megadeth is one that has shown itself to be capable of rising to the challenge of change. Through turmoil that included drug problems and personality issues, Megadeth has been able to increase its fan base with each album and, of course, sell tons of concert tickets to those fans.

Megadeth was the brain child of Metallica co-founder Dave Mustaine, a blistering guitarist who wanted to go in a different thrash metal direction from his Metallica bandmates. Megadeth became known for a harder, faster sound than Metallica, and the incisive lyrics of the songs brought an increasingly larger audience to Megadeth.
One of the few metal bands to get good mainstream reviews, Megadeth's debut album, 'Killing Is My Business . . . And Business Is Good!' (1985) attracted a following large enough for the band to sign a contract with Capitol. Megadeth's 1986 Capitol debut, 'Peace Sells . . . But Who's Buying?' went platinum.
As the band grew in popularity, Dave Mustaine experienced personal problems, and in 2002 a wrist injury nearly ended his career. But he's back with a new version of Megadeth that includes Glen Drover (guitars), James MacDonough (bass) and Shawn Drover (drums). These guys rock as hard as any Megadeth incarnation, so be sure to get your tickets today.
