An extensive list of hits, including 'Dr. Feelgood,' 'Without You,' 'Girl Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)', 'Kickstart My Heart' and 'Girls Girls Girls' showcase rock at its best, dramatic, blazing and thunderous. Their albums include the premiere Too Fast For Love (1981), Shout at The Devil (1983), followed by Theater of Pain (1985), Girls Girls Girls (1987) and Dr. Feelgood (1989). The 85-89 trilogy defined them at the height of their success, before fading out in the shadow of the early 90s Grunge movement.
Motley Crue's infamy, rooted primarily around Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee's scandalous antics, marriages, divorces, re-marriages, drugs and various other off-color misdemeanors often took center stage rather than the band's talent. In recent years however, the band has cleaned up, shaped up and are now back and better than ever.
Coinciding with Neil's recent stint on This Surreal Life, his popularity has experienced a resurgence, which conveniently has introduced him to a new fresh-faced audience that had previously remained ignorant to Motley's influence in the mid-late 80's.
So, they're back. They're back, and they're not leaving until recruitment of the Generation Y is complete.
