The fame of RBD is due in great part to their fans in Latin America. When fans demanded that RBD's music get attention from the bigger record companies, it did. Appearing on Televisa's Rebelde, RBD gained thousands of teenage fans and were pushed into the spotlight by their fanatical support and purchasing power. RBD is made up of six members, all from the cast of the show Rebelde. Alfonso--guitar and vocals, Anahi--vocals, Christian--vocals, Christopher--drums and vocals, Dulce Maria--vocals and guitar, and Maite--vocals and keyboard are the famous six. Their music has even reached the top of the American Billboard charts with 'Solo Quedate en Silencio' reaching number two. Other songs from the album Rebelde released in 2005 were 'Un Poco de tu Amor,' 'Tras de Mi' and 'Fique em Silencio.'

Nuestro Amor of 2005 and Nosso Amor and Live In Hollywood of 2006 have met with great success and have done a lot to further the popularity of Mexican music with American and Brazilian fans. RBD's music is heard all over the world and not just in predominantly Spanish-speaking countries. 'Aun Hay Algo,' 'Salva-Me,' 'Este Corazon' and the number one hit 'Nuestro Amor' are the anthems of young RBD fans all over the world.

RBD concerts and appearances in both the US and Brazil have been met with gigantic crowds and some unfortunate tragedies which did nothing to mar the band's image but were a regrettable result of the band's insane level of popularity. No one, not even the record companies, could ever imagine these six personalities would combine to create something that would affect the lives of so many people.
