Concert

2014 Robert Plant

If you are really young, there is a chance that you know Robert Plant as a solo artist who plays sometimes with The Firm's Jimmy Page. But even if you're young, you most likely have been told that Robert Plant is the voice of Led Zeppelin, the legendary British rock band, and a Rock Hall of Fame member that has sold an incredible number of records and, of course, concert tickets.

Robert Plant was an unknown singer with an incredible voice when guitarist Jimmy Page of the recently disbanded Yardbirds heard him in 1968. These two joined forces with bassist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham to form the blues-inspired Led Zeppelin, and the incredible success, both critical and commercial, of that band is the stuff of legend, a legend that ended in 1980 with Bonham's death.

Robert Plant turned to soloing after Led Zeppelin, but even then, Jimmy Page was often present for guitar work. Plant's solo hits include 'Big Log' (1983), which showed a softer side of his musical persona. He formed the Honeydrippers in 1984, and this collaboration with Page, Jeff Beck and Nile Rodgers (of Chic) led to the Number 3 hit 'Sea of Love,' a remake of a 1959 pop hit.

With this wide range of artistic expression available to them, Plant and Page still turned to what they knew best for their first Grammy in 1998, when they won for Best Hard Rock Performance with 'Most High.' Here, Robert Plant showed that he has not lost a bit of his energy or his voice. Whenever such a legend comes to the stage, you know there are thousands of fans who want to be there and can't get tickets. Don't be one of them'”get your tickets now.
