Steven Wright was born in 1955 and is from Burlington, Massachusetts. His first comedy album, I Have a Pony, was released in 1985. It became so popular that Steven was quoted as saying he couldn't even perform the material anymore because it had become too well- known. He went on to get a regular role on the show Mad About You in 1992.

The Appointments of Dennis Jennings is a short film made by Wright which won him an Academy Award. Wright's other foray into film was his appearance as the droning DJ in the movie Reservoir Dogs. He is a very talented actor; however, all of his television and film works are overshadowed by his hysterical standup comedy.
