Basking in the Tony Award Glow
Move over Oscars - June belongs to the Tony Awards, where we got a good look at the hottest and most profitable theater season to hit Broadway in over 20 years. Winner of Best Play this year was God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, while Best Musical was taken home by Billy Elliot, The Musical, which swept the Musicals part of the evening by also taking home the titles of Best Book of a Musical, Best Performance by Leading Actor, Best Performance of a Featured Actor (if anyone understands the difference between those last two categories, come shed some light on our Facebook page if you would), Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, Best Scenic Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design!
