The 2007 MLB season marked a slight improvement for the Nationals over 2006 – they went from last place in the NL East to second to last place with a win average of .451. GM Jim Bowden thinks they can do much better though, so it makes sense that he’s done a lot in the off-season, most notably strengthening the outfield with Elijah Dukes, Garret Guzman, Willie Harris, Rob Mackowiak and Lastings Milledge. But the roster isn’t the only thing that’s changed for the Nationals in 2008. They also have a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium, Nationals Park, that features a 4,500 sq ft high-definition scoreboard, an array of entertainment and fan-interactive alternatives, and for some lucky fans, a view of the Capitol. The new stadium has created a lot of buzz, and everyone is going to want to experience it. Get your Washington Nationals tickets today and see them play at the brand new Nationals Park in 2008!
Ironically, the latest team to represent our Nation’s capital began life as the first team to represent Canada. Originally the Montreal Expos when they were founded in 1969, the team proudly represented the history and tradition of baseball in Montreal - history that includes the first professional stop Jackie Robinson made on his way to breaking the color line in 1947.
