The highly competitive SEC was organized in 1933. It consists of 12 member universities, with stellar athletic histories and traditions as well as a huge fan base. If you win the SEC Championship, you could well go on to become the national champion - that has happened four times in the 14 short years that the conference playoff has existed in its current form. Those teams were the Alabama Crimson Tide in 1992, the Florida Gators in 1996, the Tennessee Volunteers in 1998, and the LSU Tigers in 2003.

Once you get your SEC Championship tickets, it won't hurt to head to Atlanta early. Interactive games and other festivities will be found at the Dr Pepper FanFare right across from the Georgia Dome. The SEC Coaches Luncheon at noon the day before the match will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta and will give participants a chance to hear both coaches present the inside scoop on their season and the championship game.
