Even as we say “Congratulations” to the Pittsburgh Steelers, winners of the 2009 Super Bowl, we want to say a big “Thank you” to the Miami Dolphins, winners of the AFC East, for the terrific season they had!
For Miami, the best thing about their 1-15 2007 season was that it ended. Understandably, Bill Parcells has come in and cleaned house….with a fresh batch of new talent that should make things much more interesting in South Florida. New head coach Tony Sparano can be expected to add fire and intensity to the Miami locker room. The pick of Jake Long, first overall in this year’s NFL draft, adds immediate impact to the beleaguered Miami offensive line. Chad Henne could provide some surprising boosts on offense. With young talent like Ronnie Brown, the “Fish” look to be improved this season. While it may be a season too early for a Miami playoff ticket, we expect significant improvement from the team this year.
