2008 Washington Capitals

The beginning of the 2007-08 season was painful for the Washington Capitals, who went into a 6-14-1 slump. Of course, that just made their resurgence all the more exciting, as they rallied under new coach Bruce Boudreau to finish at the top of the brutal Southeast Division. Much of the credit goes to Alex Ovechkin, who became the first player in NHL history to win the Art Ross Trophy, the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, the Hart Trophy and the Lester B. Pearson Award all in one season. Though they’ve lost some key players, notably goalies Olaf Kolzig and Cristobal Huet as well as wing Matt Cooke, the losses were made up for by adding award winners Keith Aucoin from the Carolina Hurricanes and Jose Theodore from the Colorado Avalanche. Ovechkin has made his goal of a Stanley Cup win abundantly clear, and the 2008-09 season just may give him that chance. Will the Caps be able to do it? Get your tickets to Verizon Center and see if the Washington Capitals can make it to the 2009 Stanley Cup finals!

The Washington Capitals play at the Verizon Center, which is also home to the NBA's Washington Wizards, the WNBA's Washington Mystics, and the NCAA's Georgetown Hoyas. Verizon Center is a venue for major concert tours, ranging from AC/DC to Janet Jackson, from Coldplay to Metallica. Coast to Coast has excellent tickets to any of these events, and much, much more!
