




Puccini's La Boheme is now conceptualized by film director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet, Strictly Ballroom) who brings his unique vision to Broadway.
Luhrmann and conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos have spent the last two years searching the globe for great young sexy performers who can blow the roof off the theatre. He found proformers in Russia, China, England, Austria, Canada and the United States and will present them in a rotating cast of principals that assures a thrilling performance every night. Sung in Italian with subtitles, the production will be entirely faithful to Puccini's magnificent original score. Luhrmann's vision extraordinary talent to create a world of sight, sound, and feeling will take you on a thrilling, emotional journey to a place you've never been before.
His partner in this production, as always, is Academy Award-winning designer Catherine Martin. Together, they have brought this great story to the lush, romantic setting of Paris 1957, where the bohemian Left Bank teems with artists and lovers.
