Named a Living Legend by the United States Library of Congress, David Copperfield, at age 12 was the youngest person ever admitted to the Society of National Magicians. By age 16 he was teaching courses in magic at New York University. While attending college David was cast as the lead in the Chicago musical, 'Magic Man'. He not only acted and sang but he also created all of the magic in the show, which went on to become the longest running musical in Chicago history. As a result of the musical's success he was chosen to host and star in 'The Magic of ABC' which led to him signing with CBS to a series of specials, beginning with 'The Magic of David Copperfield'. The series of specials has aired in over 40 countries with an estimated viewing audience of over three billion people. Copperfield has also joined forces with Dean Koontz, Ray Bradbury and Joyce Carol Oates in a series of fiction books called 'Tales of the Impossible', which were set in the world of magic and illusion. The collection did so well that a second volume titled 'David Copperfield's Beyond Imagination' was published shortly after.
