Amon Amarth is a band that was founded in 1992 and hails from Tumba, Sweden. This is a melodic death metal band. Amon Amarth is named after a volcano Mount Doom of famous book Middle-earth that was written by J.R.R. Tolkien. The members of the bands are: Johan Hegg - vocalist, Olavi Mikkonen - guitarist, Johan Soderberg - guitarist, Ted Lundstrom - bassist and Fredrik Anderson - drummer. Past member of this band were: Anders Hansson, Martin Lopez and Nico Kaukinen.They have a released a total of eight studio albums and have done seven music videos till date. Their latest album which was released in April, 2013 is named Deceiver of the Gods and it has total of ten high quality songs. The songs in the album are mastered and mixed by Andy Sneap. Their last album Surtur Rising was released in 2011 and sold 15,000 copies in very first week in America. Surtur Rising was a huge success for the band as it reached the top charts of several countries lie America, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Canada.
