Icon For Hire History

Icon For Hire started like many bands, a few young people with a dream. But Icon For Hire was primarily the dream of lead singer Ariel Bloomer,Swedish born, father was American and her mother Swedish, her parents were both devote Christians. Her parents strong faith has influenced Ariel and her music, and although they are not considered a Christian band, the Christian influence in Ariel' life is evident Icon For Hire was born when Ariel met guitarist Shawn Jump in her midwestern home of Decatur, Illinois. That same year Adam Kronshagen was added as drummer and Joshua Davis on bass guitar. Joshua was replaced in 2009 with Josh Kincheloe. The style of music is primarily electric rock and alternative rock. While the male band members are terrific in their own right, the real talent is Ariel's voice, it is strong and easy to listen to. Ariel could conquer any style of music she desires and her strong voice has been described as worthy of a country singer.Icon For Hire has released two albums and another one being planned for 2013. Icon for Hire is currently on tour with fellow rock band Ones to Watch. Their tour will primarily take them throughout the southwestern United States, include The House of Blues in Sand Diego and The Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona, then onto Dallas, New Orleans and to the east for play Boston. Icon For Hire also has fans in Europe and have been know to put on shows in Germany. Icon For Hire is one of those underrated bands that once you see them, and hear them you will be a fan of life. There sound if fresh and addictive, they are edgy and bold, but because they have a strong Christian influence they are safe to be enjoyed by music fans on all ages.
