In Canada, the day after Christmas is Boxing Day; in, Detroit it's Motor City Bowl Day. Ford Field, home of the NFL's Detroit Lions, will again be the site of this gridiron tradition. In 2006, the game features Central Michigan, 2006 champs of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), and Middle Tennessee State from the Sun Belt Conference. The MTSU Blue Raiders are playing in their first-ever bowl game since moving into Division I-A competition eight years ago.
