
Congratulations to all the participants in the National Hockey League Playoff series, and especially to the Detroit Red Wings, the 2008 winners of the Stanley Cup! It took six hard-fought games, but the Red Wings finally defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The NHL Playoffs are well underway and already there have been upsets. The Eastern Conference has been just as exciting, with last year’s conference winners the Ottawa Senators being swept 4-0 by the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Montreal Canadians beating the Boston Bruins, the New York Rangers destroying the New Jersey Devils, while the Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers are still dueling it out.
