Carlos was born in Honduras--the seventeenth of eighteen children. He was raised in East Los Angeles by his Aunt Consuela and Uncle Pablo Mencia. He started doing standup while in school and did so well at an open mic night at the Laugh Factory that he quit school to do comedy.
