Originally a country boy from Texas, Ron "Tater Salad" White is now known for his outstanding comedic performances with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. The show has sold tickets in over 90 cities and grossed more than $15 million dollars. The tour was even filmed as a major motion picture. White has been called "the gem of the group: a natural storyteller with a wry observational skill." White's performances with the group thrill audiences everywhere. Co-Star Jeff Foxworthy said, "No one makes me laugh harder than Ron." That must mean he's good if his competition is giving him such praise.
White first struck out on his own, touring clubs and bars like most start-up comedians. He soon became a regular headliner at clubs and concert halls across the United States. He performed at An Evening at The Improv and Caroline's Comedy Hour. He even appeared at company functions like conferences for Ray-O-Vac and Georgia Pacific. In 2001 White performed at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. He was voted Best Act of the Friday Night Gala by Anne Sutherland. He also received the Best Joke and Artistic Impression honors from Bill Brownstein. He returned to the festival the following year to even more applause. His performances in the Masters Show and the Nasty Show earned him critical acclaim and a spot at the Chicago Comedy Festival.

Ron White has also been on various television shows and specials, spreading his down-home comedy to audiences across the country. He had everyone in stitches when he performed on Late Night with David Letterman. His appearance on Comedy Central's Premium Blend earned him a larger fan base, mostly in the South. Like Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White's style of comedy has a Southern flare from his background in Texas. He pokes fun at rednecks, white trash, and hicks everywhere, while still being one of them. White's Drunk in Public comedy CD also helped to spread the joy of wry humor to the masses. His quick-witted retorts and total disregard for conventional comedic conventions attracts an extreme crowd, always ready to laugh.
In 2004 White appeared in his own Comedy Central Special, 'They Call Me Tater Salad.' More than three million Americans tuned in, making it the #1 show on Cable. The special was part of Comedy Central's Redneck Weekend, which became the single biggest day of viewership in the history of Comedy Central. Ron White is not only an outstanding comedian, but he has appeared as an actor as well. He guest starred in numerous films and television shows, starting in the 80s and continuing throughout his career. His film credits include Road to Avonlea, Diagnosis Murder, Total Recall, Due South, Sting Like a Butterfly, Guilty as Sin, Tom Stone, and Dog City. His obnoxious, testosterone-laden comedy is evident in all of his ventures in show business.
