Andris Poga Tickets

    Andria Poga is a passionate composer who has successfully managed to perform in many events and with popular artists across the globe. He has as well conducted radio orchestra in France. Andria Poga's performance and broad movement make him a huge talent that has made him to be honored with many rewards. In 2007, he won the Latvia Great Music Award. In 2010, he was also awarded a first prize in a conducting competition held at Montpellier. These gave him even more opportunities to conduct many other orchestras including; Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, Latvian National Opera, Orchestre de Paris, Japan Philharmonic, Israel Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Rouen, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, and many others.

Andris Poga has a degree in conducting from Jazeps Vitols Latvian. He was taught conducting from Vienna University where he also took part in conducting in several occasions. He has severally conducted the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra since 2007. Some of the performances he participated in include; Alban Berg, Mahler symphonies, works by Weber and Richard Strauss among many others. He graduated in 2000 as a trumpeter from Jazeps Medins. POGA advanced his skills in conducting at Vienna Academy by taking masters classes by (among others) ; Leif Segerstam, Seiji Ozawa, and Mariss Jansons. Andris Poga has an upcoming debut which he is confident is going to excite emotions of his audience according in one of the interviews.

    Andris Poga held the position of chief conductor and music director of Riga Professional Symphonic Band from 2007 to 2010. He is also the founder of Konsonanse Chamber Orchestra. Through Konsonanse Chamber Orchestra he was able to conduct concert tours in Finland, Germany, Spain, and Latvia. Since 2011, POGA was an assistant conductor at Paavo Järvi. In 2012, he was nominated by Boston Symphony Orchestra as an assistant conductor for 2012/2013 season. He will conduct Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood Festival and in his own concert series.
