Did You Know...

John Rich and Kenny Alphin first began writing and playing together in 1998 when they formed a club night in Nashville dubbed Muzik Mafia in which various performers would collaborate. After some years of casual but popular performances of this kind, one of Big & Rich's songs was picked up and recorded by Martina McBride in 2003. The popularity of this version of 'She's a Butterfly' led Warner Bros to offer the duo a record deal of their own in 2004. Releasing their debut album Horse of a Different Color that same year, Big & Rich embarked on highly successful large scale tours with other Muzik Mafia band members. Touring as part of Tim McGraw's 2006 American tour as well as headlining their own American Revolution tour, Big & Rich established themselves as one of the most entertaining live acts in contemporary country music. 2005's Comin' to Your City and the later Big & Rich's Super Galactic Fan Pack also enjoyed considerable commercial success, which suggests that tickets to see Big & Rich tickets are going to stay hot for some time yet.
