Born in 1989, Chris Brown was raised in Tappahannock, Virginia. Growing up listening to his parent’s radio, Chris had a talent for singing at an early age. Singing and rapping for the entertainment of friends and family, Chris Brown’s abilities were obvious and his father began to promote his talents on the local music scene. Chris was soon discovered by local music producers and signed to Jive records. Recording with recognized writers and producers such as Scott Storch and Bryan Michael Cox, Chris Brown found massive success with his first album, titled Chris Brown, which soared to #2 in the Billboard Top 200.
