As soon as she could talk, Hilary Duff was singing. She has taken it a step further, however, by taking on television, film AND music industries in one fell swoop. As Lizzie McGuire, the Disney TV sweetheart with a heart of gold and charisma to match, Duff has found an audience of all ages receptive to her talents as actress and singer.
Her music and movie careers began as soon as her television career ended. As a conclusion to the McGuire series, she starred in the 2003 smash The Lizzie McGuire Movie which garnered her high praise for her hit single 'I Can't Wait' off the soundtrack. This exposure opened up other opportunities in the studio such as the song 'The Tiki Tiki Tiki Room' off of the DisneyMania album, as well as 'The Siamese Cat Song' from the DisneyMania 2 album.
She wasn't finished with her acting career yet though. The music soon led to an opportunity to star with comedic great Steve Martin in 20th Century Fox's Cheaper By The Dozen as well as lead in A Cinderella Story. Teenage idol Frankie Munitz had her as his costar on the hit kid movie Agent Cody Banks in 2003.
With her next album Metamorphosis, Duff threw herself full-on into music by collaborating with some of the most successful and respected the music business has to offer. A sample includes Charlie Midnight, Meredith Brooks, Matthew Gerrard and Chico Bennett.
Never one to sit on her laurels, Hilary has released almost an album a year since, with 2004's Hilary Duff, 2005's Most Wanted and 2007's Dignity. 19-year old Duff has made a name for herself in this carnivorous business, and there is little left standing in her way.
