Ronstadt worked with some of the biggest names in the '70s and had early success in 1974 with her hits 'It's So Easy' and 'When Will I be Loved.' She collaborated with the likes of Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Carly Simon and James Taylor in this period. She became known for her own songwriting skills but had the most critical acclaim for interpreting the writing of others for her albums. Early in her career she covered 'That'll be the Day,' originally written by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, and 'Blue Bayou' written by Roy Orbison. Other huge hits have been Warren Zevon's 'Poor, Poor Pitiful Me' and the Rolling Stone's 'Tumbling Dice.'
Her most memorable albums are 1974's Heart Like a Wheel, 1983's What's New, and her 1987 album, Trio, with longtime friends Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton. With nearly 40 years in the music business she has become a dependable performer who consistently sells out her concerts, satisfying audiences with an eclectic array of pop hits like 'You're No Good' and classic standards.
Ronstadt's first new recording since her Christmas album in 2000 is Hummin' to Myself with the splendid songs 'I've Never Been in Love Before,' 'Never Will I Marry' and 'I Fall in Love Too Easily.' Tickets to see Linda Ronstadt perform in concert will give you a chance to see one of the legends of pop music in the flesh and witness a superstar displaying the best songs of her extraordinary career.
