Linda Ronstadt History

Linda Ronstadt's beautiful vocals have led to her receiving 10 Grammy Awards and numerous gold and platinum albums spanning an unparalleled recording career. Her live show is unforgettable, including songs from her over 30 records with a mix of traditional country, pop and rhythm & blues.

Ronstadt worked with some of the biggest names in the '70s and had early success in 1974 with her hits 'It's So Easy' and 'When Will I be Loved.' She collaborated with the likes of Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Carly Simon and James Taylor in this period. She became known for her own songwriting skills but had the most critical acclaim for interpreting the writing of others for her albums. Early in her career she covered 'That'll be the Day,' originally written by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, and 'Blue Bayou' written by Roy Orbison. Other huge hits have been Warren Zevon's 'Poor, Poor Pitiful Me' and the Rolling Stone's 'Tumbling Dice.'
