Dance Tickets

Is there a little girl in the world who has not dreamed at one time or another of becoming a ballerina? After all, ballet combines gorgeous music, lovely costumes, and above all the artistry of graceful performers who seem to soar on invisible wings. Wouldn't the little kid in all of us love to twist, twirl, kick and tap, apparently without effort?

Every culture on earth expresses itself through some form of choreographed movement. In the West, classical ballet began in the Italian Renaissance, when wealthy noblemen staged extravagant musical entertainments with spectacular scenery and even fireworks. By the late 17th century, ballet had become so important to the court of Louis XIV in France that he founded the Royal Academy of Dancing.
