Amaro jumped into his new role with both feet, letting Pat Burrell leave for the Tampa Bay Rays, picking up left-fielder Raul Ibanez from the Seattle Mariners, and adding pitcher Chan Ho Park from the Los Angeles Dodgers to increase rotation depth.
