Did You Know...

This Broadway event represents the culmination of an original book idea from Don McKeller (co-founder of the Augusta Company) and Bob Martin (Skippy's Rangers) with the music and lyrics of Lisa Lambert (Getting Along Famously) and Greg Morrison (Hello...Hello). This fantastic collaboration is played out by a strong cast which includes Danny Burstein (A Class Act; Titanic) as Adolpho, Georgia Engel (Hello, Dolly!) as Mrs. Tottendale and Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie) as Janet Van Der Graaff.

Even before its official opening in May 2006, The Drowsy Chaperone had already received massive critical acclaim. Having received a total of 13 nominations for 2006 Tony Awards, the play was the winner of Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical and Best Featured Actress (Beth Leavel). The Drowsy Chaperone also won Bob Martin the 2006 Theatre World Award and netted its production team the 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical.
