Ahmad Jamal is a music composer, Jazz pianist and educator who have been working for music industry since more than 60 year. Ahmad Jamal was born on 2 July 1930 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania. His birth name was Frederick Russell Jones that he later changed as Ahmad Jamal. He started playing piano when he was only three year old and in the age of 7 year he started learning piano in a very formal way.
His first formal piano teacher was Mary Cardwell Dawson who influenced him greatly and he believes all the good of his music talent is because of his first formal teacher only.Both the parents of Ahmad Jamal were Bapist and he also remained a dedicated Bapist till his twenties. In his twenties he found Islam and he changed himself completely by accepting Islam as his religion, after accepting Islam as his religion he changed his name also.
