Even though it's only been 2 years since Awolantions first album Megalithic Symphony came out, the electronic rock band from Los Angeles, California has already experienced huge amounts of success and not for no reason. With Aaron Brunos bombastic vocals in lead, combined with impressive drums, heart rocking keyboard and guitar notes, makes Awolantions music quite unforgettable. Awolnation consists of Aaron Bruno (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Drew Stewart on lead guitar, Kenny Carkeet (keyboards, rhythm guitar), Hayden Scott (drums) and Devin Hoffman (bass) and started when front man Aaron Bruno was contacted by Red Bull Records in 2009 to record some songs at their studio. Having had previous success in bands like Under The Influence Of Giants and Hometown Heroes, Bruno quickly started writing and recording songs, and signed with the record label shortly afterwards. The band then began taking shape and released their first EP Back From Earth in 2010. Their mayor break came with their first studio album Megalithic Symphony in March 2011, that topped the Billboard Heatseeker album chart, as well as placing #13 on the U.S. indie chart and #87 on Billboard top 200. Especially their first single Sail, which peaked at #10 on the Billboard rock charts and sold platinum in Canada and the US, has received wide critical acclaim and quite a lot of attention on the internet. An artistic as well as humours music video for the song Sail was put up on youtube in October 2011 by the popular youtuber Nanalew and the video has to date received over 47 million views and just over 360,000 likes. Their music has also been featured in Nokia commercials, The Vampire Diaries, So You Think You Can Dance and especially noticeable in a BMW commercial for the Olympics. Ever since their debut album was released 2 years ago, Awolnation has been touring non-stop not only nationwide but worldwide. They're currently touring all over the U.S and I personally can't wait to hear what else they have to offer.
