Creed History

In 2004, after selling 35 million records worldwide, making 3 multi-platinum albums, and winning a Grammy, the post-grunge band Creed called it quits. Needless to say, fans were crushed, though at least they had lead singer Scott Stapp’s solo work as well as the Creed offshoot Alter Bridge (composed of lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall, with Myles Kennedy on vocals) to console them. After the break-up, each of the former members said at various times that the band would never reunite. And then, on April 27, 2009, after months of speculation, Creed’s website officially announced the band’s reunion and plans for a new album and tour! Now that tickets are in for this highly anticipated tour, they’re sure to go in record time.
