Houston Dynamo is a professional soccer club found in America. It is located in Houston, Texas and plays in major league. The club was founded in 2005 and was called Houston 1836. Later own this team was renamed to Houston Dynamo. This was after the Hispanic fans protested against the name. They said that the initial name could remind them about the war fought in searching for Texas independence. Initially, this club played home games at Robertson Stadium. This was on the main campus of University of Houston. During the season of the major soccer in 2012, this club relocated to BBVA Compass Stadium.In 2008, under Dominic Kinnear as a manager, this team was announced to be the first club to get a point in Mexico during the CONCACAF Champions League season. It won MLS main Cup in 2006 and 2007 respectively in their first two years of existence following the relocation of coaching staff and players due to the Earthquakes that occurred at San Jose. Houston Dynamo is not owned by one person. It has many shareholders as mentioned here. The first one is Anschutz Entertainment Group. Others include Brener International Group (BIG) which is headed Brener Gabriel together with Oscar Hoya the multiple Olympic and world's boxing champion. Every shareholder plays a big role towards the improvement of the club.
