In this trip he was visit Israel for the first time for a two month by staying at the “Alexander Muss High school” in Hod Hasharon, Israel. At the age 19 he started to play with the Jewish band “Pey Dalid” which gave him his nick till today “Matisyahu”.After a few years of activity with “Pey Dalid” band, came the first success. “King Without a Crown”, Matisyahu’s First single, From the album “Youth”. This first success gain the album debuted at number four on theBillboard 200with over 119,000 copies sold in its first week released. In 2006 Matisyahu got his New York Times Magazine Article for one of the 5 affective Jewish People in the US. Matisyahu counts his music from Bob Marley, Phish and Rabbi “Shlomo Carlebach”. Always speaks for unity, mutual love and brotherhood. In August 2009, Matisyahu released his third album Light and sets in first place among reggae albums and 19th place ranking in the list of Billboard 200 best-selling albums in the United States. His first Single of it, “One Day” got Enormous worldwide success! It even got the title of the 2010 Olympics Theme song.Till today, Matisyahu, released 7 albums, 4 Studio Albums And 3 Live albums in middle. The Studio albums started way on October 12, 2004 First album was called shake off the dust arise. In April 19, 2005 Matisyahu released his first live record album Live at Stubb’s. A year late on March 7, 2006, his Second, successes album was out – Youth. 2009, August 25. 2 albums were released. The first one is a studio album (Light) and the seconds is a live record (Live at Twist & Shout). In February 1, 2011 Matisyahu released his Second volume of his first live album, Live at Stubb’s Vol.2. In one year (2006) Matisyahu became a very popular Reggae and alternative rock musician. By 2011 he gains Guest appearances, Cover Versions, TV, radio and film appearances.In 2011 right before his latest album was out, Spark Seeker Matisyahu, the international reggae star who was famous for his beard, wearing cap and wigs, this year shocked the Jewish world when he shaved his beard and completely changed his appearance.
