New Found Glory History

The pop/punk quintet New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) began in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida when Jordan Pundik (vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Steve Klein (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass) and Joe Moreno (drums) got together and decided to form a band. They immediately got to work, playing local clubs and building a following. Their live performances were so impressive that their first EP, It’s All About the Girls, actually sold out! After their debut EP, Cyrus Bolooki replaced Moreno on drums, and the band really started to take off, signing with Drive-Thru Records and then MCA. NFG’s first big break came in 2001 when they joined blink-182 on tour and then secured a spot on the Vans Warped Tour. Their next release, 2002’s Sticks and Stones, solidified them as a force in the pop/punk scene.
