Philadelphia Union is a well known soccer club of Chester, Pennsylvania. The Keystone sports and entertainment, LLC founded this club in the year of 2008. The club is seen to compete with other soccer clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS). John Hackworth manages this soccer team. The club plays their home matches in the stadium of PPL Park, located on the banks of river Delaware. At the year of 2001 the concept of bringing the game of soccer in the Delaware valley aroused in the mind of the MLS group. Five years later the construction was started of building the soccer stadium holding the capacity of 20,000 on the Rowan University campus, New Jersey.initially both the MSL club and the Rowan's football teams played their home matches in that stadium.The MLS club included the Philadelphia Union as their sixteenth team in the year of 2008, February 28. The Philadelphia played their first match on 25th March 2010 where they lost by 2-0 goals against Seattle Sounders, FC. The Philadelphia Union won their first game on 10thApril 2010 by 3-2 goals against D.C. United at Lincoln Financial Field. The first goal made in this game from the Philadelphia club was by Sebastien Le Toux.
