Raise Me Up! History

Composer Alan Menken (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast), lyricist Glenn Slater (Newyorkers, That’s Life,) author Janus Cercone (who wrote the screenplay for the film version of Leap of Faith) and director Taylor Hackford (Ray) are combining their sizable talent to bring you Leap of Faith, a new musical based on the 1992 film of the same name. Leap of Faith tells the story of Jonas Nightengale, a slimy evangelist whose only true calling is to part his parishioners and their money.
