Rock Star: Supernova is a brand new rock super-group featuring rock music notables Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke, plus the vocal abilities and boyish charisma of front man Lukas Rossi. Thoroughly clean and modern and yet rooted in old-school rock, Rock Star: Supernova is an edgy outfit that combines the best of ’80s stadium performance, powerful ’90s rock music and 21st century media personality. Whether you got to witness the band’s evolution on TV or not, tickets to see Rock Star: Supernova offer a great live music experience at a rockin’ concert event!
In July 2006, CBS reality series Rock Star: Supernova set out on a worldwide search to find a musician to lead a new rock act comprising the experience of Guns N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Metallica bassist Jason Newsted. The original 25,000 entrants got narrowed down to 15 finalists, who then faced a grueling competition comprising tests of songwriting ability and vocal performance. An experienced singer, Lukas Rossi of Toronto, Canada, was embraced by the band and voted by the audience to become the winner. His performances of songs such as Nirvana’s “Lithium” showed a versatile vocal range and spirited style of performance.
With their singer in place and an album recorded, Rock Star: Supernova are set for a nationwide tour complete with fellow tv-series performers and the House Band as well as fellow rock veterans The Panic Channel. Although the band may have been formed only recently and in an unusual fashion, Rossi and the other members collaborate well to produce a unique blend of the raucous drumming and scything guitar distortion of grunge music with the transcendent vocals and cutting bass of contemporary indie-rock. Exciting, volatile and entertaining to the last, tickets to see Rock Star: Supernova are available here.
